BAXTER COUNTY REPUBLICAN MEN'S CLUB

Membership open to adult men who subscribe to the purposes and objectives of the BCRMC, believes in good government and the principles of the Republican Party and is supportive of its candidates. Adult woman may join as "Associate members" without voting privileges.       Membership Application (Printer Friendly)

OBJECTIVES:

• To promote and encourage broader citizens participation in politics.
• To promote political education and dissemination of information to our political system.
• To promote the development of political leaders.
• To assist in carrying out purposes of the Republican Party. These purposes include:
  1. To provide leadership in government.
  2. To protect individual rights and freedoms balanced with needs of society.
  3. To promote honest government with integrity, focused on local emphasis.
  4. To promote loyalty to Republican principles and candidates; however the BCRMC
     remains neutral in contested Republican primaries.
  5. To assist Republican candidates for public elective office.

ACTIVITIES

A luncheon meeting is held each month on the 3rd Tuesday at Western Sizzlin in Mountain Home, AR.  A no-host luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. with a meeting from Noon to 1:00 p.m.  Guest speakers provide information on current issues, i.e., government, health, education and the community.

Opportunity to participate as a volunteer and be involved in club activities, fund raising, campaigns, community outreach, membership development, newsletter, publicity, County Fair, Republican Headquarters, Lincoln Day Dinner.

The Club is an member of the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce and Norfork Lake Chamber of Commerce. All paid active members and associate members of BVRMC may participate in Chamber events including after hour chamber events. Please identify when you attend and or register for an event that you are a member of the Baxter County Republican Men's Club. While many events are free, other are not. Any expenses incurred are the member's responsibility and not BCRMC.

POINTS IN CLUB HISTORY

1. The Baxter County Republican Men's Club was organized at a meeting on Jan. 25, 1993. The co-founders of the new club were:

Charles Baker W. M. Clements Bill Ellison (Became a Club President)

Dick Homan Ed. Reisch Donald Richards

2. The chapter formally registered as a Political Action Committee in Arkansas in 2006.
3. From 1993 through 1996, terms for officers were 1 year; in 2006, the club bylaws were changed and reissued and the terms of office were change to 2 year terms beginning in 2007.
