The Axis of Evil

In high school American History, WWII was not too far in historic distance from where we were. Many of our parents had served in active duty during that war, so we "baby boomers", were being taught first hand about the horrible things that war brings and how it destroys countries, as its sacrifice in destroying evil ideologies. There were the Allied Forces (the good guys) against the Axis Powers (the bad guys), and a simple definition of what was right and what was wrong. The word "Axis" meant that something was the center of thought and actions "turned" or rotated around that center. Nazism was the center, and the atrocities of that thought turned around it. To stop the actions, required upsetting the axis, throwing the actions off balance, and toppling the power. Geometry, politics, or religion, the principle works the same. Being "thrown off balance" always ends with a crash.
President Bush called North Korea, Iran, and Iraq, an "Axis of Evil", which needs to be toppled for the sake and safety of the free world. Who could disagree? However, the president didn't take into consideration the fact that there is another "circle" with just as much hatred, just as much ego, and just as destructive as any country on his list. They are much more dangerous because the "Axis of Evil" that they create, forces a response from foreign enemies. The real "Axis of Evil" that is threatening the lives of Americans not just in the military, but in our daily existence is none other than some elected officials of Congress.
Nancy Pelosi, John Murtha, and Harry Reid are an "Axis of Evil". They will spin their ideology with lies, hatred, distortions, and arrogance that has nothing to do with a greater good, but only to destroy everything that does not fall into their liberal anti-American rhetoric. Their excitement and joy of thinking that they are trumping the President of the United States, brings the same exhilaration as the children who fired guns into the air celebrating the murders of 911. The very idea that these leaders have stepped into a role to challenge the commander in chief of all American military forces while young men and women are on foreign soil in harms way, is nothing less than an attempted political coup that smacks of treason. Disagreeing is inevitable and a good thing, but the celebration displayed in the hallowed halls where freedom has been written, is an embarrassment to those who served the 200 years before them.
There is no doubt that just as the blood thirsty religion of Islam wants to dominate the world and destroy those who resist, is the same religious zeal that drives the Clintons, Pelosi, Murtha, Reid, and Kennedy. They are talking people who feel powerless into getting aboard a vehicle of false information, strapping a media package on, that encourages their destruction, and driving it into the very heart of America's heritage, exploding on impact in a public that doesn't even wake up enough to know it is being hit by these terrorists.
We must look each other in the eye at work, at play, in school, and in our families and be able to define our destiny by the freedoms that have been given us by a loving God, and practice what is right , standing against the horrible "Axis of Evil" that must be stopped. War will never end in any lifetime, as long as there are people bent on taking another's freedom. Every generation is a caretaker of those freedoms, and can never let our flag fall in disgrace, our morals be trampled with sin, or our lives be sacrificed in vain. We must become the "Allied Force" to destroy another "Axis of Evil" in this generation.
